How we make what we make.

Transparency about our methodology, editorial standards, data sources, cookie policy, and the boundary between education and therapy.

Relationale produces educational artifacts — courses, journals, planners, devotionals, audiobooks, video programs, and a weekly essay. Each artifact is built on three commitments:

  • Clinical grounding. Every claim is sourced in clinical practice or peer-reviewed research.
  • Editorial supervision. Written or supervised by Dr. Keiron Brown, Psy.D., a licensed psychologist with three decades of clinical practice.
  • Usefulness test. Nothing ships unless it would survive being assigned in a graduate seminar AND be useful on an ordinary Tuesday night.
  • No fabricated statistics, member counts, or growth claims.
  • No testimonials, reviews, star ratings, or "trusted by" badges.
  • No urgency tactics, fake scarcity, or countdown timers.
  • No advertising in the Sunday Letter and no third-party advertising on long-form essays.
  • Corrections are issued in-line with a dated note when an error is found after publication.
  • AI-assisted drafting may be used for structural editing; final voice, framing, and clinical claims are human-authored.

Relationale does not publish original empirical research. We synthesize from peer-reviewed clinical literature (attachment theory, IFS, EFT, ACT, contemplative traditions, developmental psychology), three decades of supervised clinical practice, and the public domain.

Where a specific claim depends on a study or named framework, the source is named inside the artifact. Where a claim is clinical judgment rather than evidence, it is labeled as such.

Relationale uses two categories of cookies and similar local storage:

  • Essential. Authentication, session state, cart and download permissions, and accessibility preferences. These cannot be disabled without breaking the site.
  • Analytics. Privacy-respecting, aggregate page and event data used to improve the catalog and reading experience. No cross-site tracking, no advertising cookies, no fingerprinting.

You can clear cookies and local storage at any time from your browser settings. For full data rights, see the Privacy Policy.

Relationale is educational publishing. It is not psychotherapy, counseling, diagnosis, or medical advice, and it is not a substitute for care from a licensed professional. If you are in crisis, please contact emergency services or a local crisis line.

Reading a course, completing a journal, or attending a workshop does not establish a clinician-client relationship with Dr. Brown or Relationale.
